Description
This Quilted Maple top shown was used to create this Roscoe LG Custom 5 Headless bass. The bass also features a Swamp Ash body and a Pau Ferro fingerboard on a headless version of Roscoe's standard 3-piece Maple/Purple Heart/Maple neck.
The headless hardware is made by Hipshot, and it is pretty slick. This hardware allows you to use ordinary (i.e. single ball) bass strings, so there's no need for double ball end strings like some headless basses require. That is a real plus for the long term ease of use of an instrument like this.
This bass was just a hair too large to fit in a guitar-sized hardshell case, so it came from Roscoe in a bass-sized hardshell case. That said, I have confirmed that this bass will fit in a guitar-sized Mono Sleeve (a hybrid gig bag). Given that this bass is ideal for travel (it will fit in full size overhead bin), I'll be happy to substitute a guitar Sleeve for the hardsell case. Just let me know you preference if/when you decide to buy the bass.
