Description

S/N 5655 is a 35" scale fretless 5-string (model SKB-3005). This bass sports a gorgeous Box Elder Burl top on a Spanish Cedar body, a Black Diamondwood fretboard on Roscoe's standard neck (Maple-Purple Heart-Maple), and Bartolini electronics.

The bass has a VERY deep but crisp tone, and the diamondwood board lends plenty of mwah. This is a HUGE sounding fretless, I really dig it!

Sound Clip

Here's the bass in a simple little groove. I leaned on the bridge pickup just a little bit (10% off center?) and boosted the bass about the same, and the mids were boosted slightly more. The bass went direct into the Boss BR-600 recorder.
