Description

New for 2017 from Roscoe Guitars are the Classic and Classic Custom lines of basses. Sonically and stylistically, these evoke some of the great basses of the past.

The Classic models feature a graphite reinforced Maple neck with either Maple or Pau Ferro fingerboard and dot inlays. The Classic Custom models feature either a Maple board with black block inlays and neck binding, or a Pau Ferro board with white block inlays and binding.

Both models are passive by default, but can optionally be made active using the boost-only 2-band Aguilar OBP-1 preamp for $150.

A poplar body is the default, but Alder can be had for $50 or Ash can be had for $100.

A pristine condition gloss poly finish is the default, but a distressed lacquer finish can be had at no charge.

Most pickguard colors are available at no charge, however there are some premium choices: Tortoiseshell, White Pearloid and Black Pearloid are $75 options.

A gig bag can be included for $150, or a hardshell case can be included for $200.

This particular instrument is a Roscoe Classic 4PJ with a poplar body, Pau Ferro board, a lightly distressed Olympic White lacquer finish, Tortoiseshell pickguard and white dot inlays.
