The Aguilar OBP-2...
I think of the OBP-2 as a 2-band version of the OBP-3. The bass & treble frequencies that it uses are the same bass and treble frequencies used on the OBP-3. You just don't have a mid boost/cut control with the OBP-2.
The "SK" version has a stacked 25K pot that puts the treble and bass controls together on one pot. The "TK" version provides two separate 25K pots. This particular item is the "SK" version.
Here's what Aguilar has to say about the preamp:
"The OBP-2 was designed to give bassists fat tone while being small enought fit into tight control cavities. Wire this preamp with one 9 volt battery and it will fit into just about any instrument. With +/-18dB of boost and cut at 40Hz and +/- 16dB of treble boost and cut at 6.5 kHz you have can emphasize just the right frequencies to make your bass sound great in any mix."
